Passion is obviously different from addiction. My brother is passionate about sports particularly running. He has been running for more than ten years. It all started when he got sick at the age of twenty-five. He was obviously fat and unhealthy. When his blood pressure rose, he was really shaken by the sickness and decided to do something about it. His doctor said that he must exercise and observe the right diet. He did that religiously until he developed a passion for running. He almost gave up because he was not seeing results even after a year of doing it. However, his hard work paved way for a new self. He is now healthy and continuously running. He has run five marathons since he started running. For me that is passion. Addiction is becoming a slave of something. If one is can’t live without it which is harmful to him, this is addiction. A person can’t give up smoking because he is addicted to it. It is also the same with casino. There are people whose lives were ruined because of their addiction to casino.
