Although this doesn’t reflect my spending pattern, I think most people buy the most popular, cheapest and most visible products.
This can be computer hardware on sale, in clearance or advertised the most.
Take the iPod for example, it has a hard drive or non-volatile flash memory, it has an operating system to control your input and select your songs and some chips that process the signals to turn your media into music output or display it.
It sells well and can even generate further revenue for Apple from iTunes downloads.
Another thing that everyone wants/needs is a USB pen drive. It’s simple in design (usually has 1 memory chip and a controller) and is functional. If you know your stuff, you could even boot your computer using a Linux operating system.
Plus, if you lose it, you might have to get another one, just for convenience purposes.

It is but normal human reaction to have cloudy thoughts and poor decision making amidst dire situations. Never the less, when crises arise, a key point to remember in order to remain on top of the problem is to make sure whose hand to grab to help pull you back up on your feet. Not all the ‘hands’ we see are helping hands. Most are opportunists trying to make the most out of your feeble situation.
