The best site to buy computer hardware

Well the best site to buy computer hardware is NOT eBay. Lots of people will say well you can get anything on eBay for a good price, well buying computer hardware on eBay can be touchy because you have no clue if the product is any good, and it has a higher risk of getting damaged in shipping, as well some people do not know how to ship computer components in a static free environment.

So I would say the best site to buy computer hardware from would have to be www.tigerdirect.com because they have unbeatable prices, excellent shipping times, great customer service and I have never ever ever had a single issue with any of the products I have bought from them. Plus did I mention that there prices are great.

Tiger Direct has a whole range of amazing products, you can get anything for your computer from this site, you can even build your own computer using the sites tools and you can see the price of the computer, they also sell pre-made computers like any other store.

What do you know about computer hardware?

1. The CPU. Do you know what is it? IT’s the central processing unit and the place where all the information is stored. HEre is the thing that will work everytime you press a key, you open a file, you play a gaem and much more. this is also the place you can expect to work the most when you are surfing the internet. What is the fastest processor? The AMD Opeteron or and the new INtel iCore 7 but they are too expensive to be any good. The first processors had only some MHz and they could not do many things because they di not support most instruction from the hard ware. They had to emule evetything and then it would be a pain to wait for it. The first 286 processor ran at 15 MHZ so you can see it would do nothing for you today. Not even load windows. When the 386 came around you could now have some good performance but not good enough. Now with the 486 processor you can have now some Widnows installed on it, even windows 98 and with enough memory windows xp. This is the (more…)

Relationship to Computer Hardware

Computer software is so called in contrast to computer hardware, which encompasses the physical interconnections and devices required to store and execute (or run) the software. In computers, software is loaded into RAM and executed in the central processing unit. At the lowest level, software consists of a machine language specific to an individual processor. A machine language consists of groups of binary values signifying processor instructions (object code), which change the state of the computer from its preceding state. Software is an ordered sequence of instructions for changing the state of the computer hardware in a particular sequence. It is usually written in high-level programming languages that are easier and more efficient for humans to use (closer to natural language) than machine language. High-level languages are compiled or interpreted into machine language object code. Software may also be written in an assembly language, essentially, a mnemonic representation of a machine language using a natural language alphabet. Assembly language must be assembled into object code via an assembler.

The term “software” was first used in this sense by John W. Tukey in 1958.[2] In computer science and software engineering, computer software is all computer programs. The concept of reading (more…)

A computer system is a system that has built in tools that will help you set and preform optional tasks that you need to do for either a job or school. The Internet has become much more advanced and now computers allow you to experience the right tools to serve and create different ideal tasks that you need to get done. Such tasks as maintaining a checkbook, preparing documents designing different types of slides for presentations at your job and even fan video games at your leisure.

Most importantly, your computer is a set of tools that you need to work better and more efficiently. It’s rather like owning a car. It, too, is a set of tools that helps you go from one place to another. You need a string will, the gas pedal, the tires, engine, and all the other parts of your car to get anywhere. Best online stores for cheap computer hardware – Part 3

The computer hardware industry is very competitive and like the stock market, prices go up and down. In recent years, the prices have dramatically dropped from astronomical figures to things more affordable. But even with the prices dropping, cheaper pricing is always a plus. Hey, money in my pocket is better than money in someone else’s pocket. With that being said, when people think of cheap, they usually look to stores like Best Buy, NewEgg.com, Futureshop, Tigerdirect.com, Dell, et cetera, et cetera. These stores have select products which they put on sale to garnish the attention required to make further sales which ends up making them big money. Don’t get me wrong, as a consumer I think it’s wonderful that they have these sales, but they usually do not have all the products for the best price. In my opinion, price comparison sites are the best way to find the cheapest hardware online. Sites like Froogle, Shopbot.ca, pricecanada.com, just to name a few, are the sites which computer hardware can be found at the best pricing available. So the next time you purchase hardware, don’t aim for a specific company that (more…)

Shutdown Day: Can you go without your computer for a day? – Part 2

I think a Computer Shutdown Day is an excellent idea. Speaking from personal experience there was a time when I was on my computer from the crack of dawn to midnight and beyond. It can take over your time and energy if you don’t discipline yourself. After too many days of using my computer into to the wee hours of the morning I had to re-examine my priorities. I lost a lot of sleep, accumulated a huge sleep debt and I was grumpy and irritable when I had to leave home. This was because I didn’t manage my time wisely when using the computer.

What helped me get back on track was turning my computer off and staying off for an entire weekend, starting Friday. I found that I could focus on other things and I got a lot of things done that weekend, not mention proper sleep. I got rid of my sleep debt as well. On that Friday I got most of my housework done and rediscovered a few DVDs that I hadn’t watched in a long time. After the first day it was quite easy to forget about the computer. I took a trip to the bookstore and (more…)

Why not compare side by side prices in real time? I found out about a street search engine named ‘Price Watch’ by accident…well not really by accident. I peered over the shoulder of someone in a major retail office who was looking through it and helping me purchase some new software. Price Watch deals mostly in computer hardware and electronics but they do offer a limited supply of software too.

They have everything you could want or imagine in computer parts whether you want to build your own computer from bare bones or need a part to repair or expand your present computer memory. You get the comparison of numerous stores side by side with pricing and s&h and you can choose the store from which you want to purchase parts. They are able to match your specification for old computers or newer models. Price Watch has sellers for both generic parts and OEM parts.

I recently bought a power supply for an old Compaq laptop that I upgraded for my grandson. Most prices were eighty percent higher on other sites than the price I found at Price Watch. No, I don’t get any kickbacks or payments from the search engine. I (more…)

Chelsea is now the English premier league champs, now its time for the champions league

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 5:17 am

What a way to end this season’s Barclays Premier league . I never expected it as I was reading so much on guesses and predictions online in this Football picks site called www.hunchers.com saying that Manchester will win it again this year and try to avenge its loss to Barcelona in the Champions league last year. But I guess it wont be happening now as it is Chelsea who became its tormentor now and took the cup out of Manchester United’s hands and disappointing a whole lot of fans and also sinking my rankings in hunchers.com in the process too. You see most of the games I tried to predict was in favor always of Manchester, but I guess its Chelsea’s time this year. So I have no choice now but to support this team right up to the coming champions league as anyway, they are the English champions, and since I am from England, I will have to support them as they now battle it out with other European countries respective champions. But that does not discourage me because I know for a fact that Chelsea also has a good chance of winning in this tournament too, after knocking down a powerhouse in Manchester. Hopefully though this time we will be able to attain the elusive title which is the Best team in Europe by finally winning this champions league and sending England down into history books again by becoming champions again.

Buy Computer Hardware Online – Does The Internet Beat The High Street Stores?

Buying computer hardware online can often save time and money simply by using the power of the internet to find the best deals on computer equipment such as Monitors, RAM and Disk Drives.

Most online retailers are often cheaper than high street retailers as the online stores have lower overheads they can usually offer you the equipment at a very competitive price, buying online also gives you the ability to purchase multiple products from the same retailer so you don’t have to go around ordering from multiple websites.

Often these online retailers will have sell a lot of general computer items or items that can be used together with the piece of equipment you may be purchasing which helps the buyer as they get everything they need under one roof that they need and can even buy different items of equipment from the same brand, this is helpful if they prefer a certain brand name over another.

The great thing about online retailers is that they often build computers themselves to cut down on the overheads of outsourcing it to other companies, these ensures that they know everything that goes inside your machine and should you have (more…)

Best online stores for cheap computer hardware – Part 2

A decade ago we were pigeonholed into buying hardware components or replacement parts for our PCs at outrageous prices. We were stuck at a brick and mortar (B&M) shops forced to pay retailer’s premiums. Middlemen such as CompUSA and Computercity milked their profits making our lives more expensive. We wanted a solution, we wanted wholesale. But there was no business model that could exist with the infrastructure available.

Flash forward to today. CompUSA and Computercity are both long gone due to bankruptcy. The primary cause was due to online retailers. While Bestbuy and Circuitcity certainly have taken away their marketshare. CompUSA ultimately lost to the advent of online retailers. Their businesses primarily revolve around having warehouses to store the product and a streamlined website. No longer was there a need for heavy costs such as newspaper/television advertising and rent for storefront property.

For the end all solution for computer hardware components, I’d advise you to go to Newegg. ( http://www.newegg.com ) Newegg for the past several years, has been THE store for gaming enthusiasts and computer builders. They are known for their good value, excellent service, and expedite (more…)
